Approach & Professional Experience

Her therapeutic practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centered, culturally sensitive, and anti-oppressive framework that is collaborative and recognizes that we all have creative potential that can be explored for personal growth. In addition to art therapy, she integrates various psychotherapy approaches including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and mindfulness tools. Mafalda offers support to all gender identities, who may be experiencing concerns related to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, among others.
