Therapedia Centre publishes information about psychotherapy, art therapy and mental health for people in Toronto and across Ontario. This page explains who writes that information, how it is clinically reviewed, which sources we rely on, and how we keep it accurate.

Who writes our content

Service pages and articles are written or co-written by Therapedia Centre clinicians, based on their own practice and training. Each article names its author and links to their profile, where you can see their registration, education and areas of focus.

Our clinicians are regulated health professionals in Ontario: Registered Psychotherapists with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and Registered Social Workers with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Registration numbers are shown on each clinician’s profile so you can check them on the college’s public register. Art therapist interns practise under the supervision of a registered clinician, and their profiles say so.

Our team uses writing tools, including AI-assisted drafting, to organize and edit text. Every clinical statement on a reviewed page has been checked by a registered clinician before publication.

How clinical review works

Sources we use

We base clinical statements on clinical practice guidelines, peer-reviewed research and Canadian public health and professional bodies, for example the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Canadian Mental Health Association, CADDRA for ADHD, the Canadian Art Therapy Association, and Government of Canada and Ontario program pages for funding such as NIHB, IFHP and Jordan’s Principle. We link to sources so you can read them yourself. We do not use testimonials or promise specific outcomes.

Information about programs and fees

Funding programs, insurance coverage and fees change. We check program pages against the official source and show when the information was last checked. Please confirm your own coverage with your insurer or program before booking.

This website is not a substitute for care

Our content is general information, not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline, 24/7 across Canada) or call 911. If you are unsure whether therapy is right for you, a free 15-minute consultation with our team is a good first step.

Corrections and feedback

If you believe something on our website is inaccurate or out of date, please email info@therapediacentre.com. A clinician will review your note, and we will correct the page and update its review date when a change is needed.
